I consider this one a collaboration with my father. He took the original snapshot, which I thought was a fantastic study of motion. It was a challenge, partcularly as a realist artist, to translate that Impressionistic blur with pastels.

When Dad saw this in progress, he spontaneously asked for it as a gift - which is the first time he's ever specifically asked for something as a gift from me. I consider this one a success.
