Perhaps these two quotes are too big for such a simple painting, but these are the kinds of ideas I was thinking about when I started experimenting with putting astronomical imagery together with living things. Well, that, and I found the idea of a 'starflower' both humorous and pretty.

About This Series
The Cosmic Candy series is a playful, less realistic take on the idea that everything is part of everything; we're all star-stuff, to lazily quote Carl Sagan. I've been fascinated with everything to do with space since I was a young child, whether that takes the form of science fiction or science fact. The images that we're able to capture these days through incredible scientific advances just blow my mind. There's so much beauty out there, and so much here on Earth, and I just can't help but combine the two.
