Marietta
According to her owners, I captured Marietta's "I'm judging you" face perfectly...although I was simply trying to give them their sweet dog in her favorite chair. Pet portraits can be particularly challenging because we owners always know our beloved pets better than anyone else, and those small personality details can slip by a casual perusal of a photograph. I'm so happy I was able to bring her to life for them!

This pet portrait series is an organic result of the fact that I can't help but paint the cutest subjects in my life. I'm definitely a cat person, but I love dogs, too, and I'm always excited to get a chance to capture their wonderful expressions and silly poses.
