Night Eyes
Soft purple and green pastels pick out the lines of an old, abandoned smokehouse...and the mysterious eyes peering from within. Is it a wolf, perhaps? Or something more...supernatural? I've never quite decided myself, though I do lean a certain way.
Working on an art paper (Canson Mi Teintes) rather than my usual sanded paper gives a softer, more oiled-lens effect to this one.

About This Series
This haunted old farm series is based on the old family farm that has since been sold, the buildings long taken over by nature and crumbled to dust. It was sad to see it go after my grandparents passed, and the long process of decay, but in some way, using it as inspiration for my spooky imagination has allowed me to reclaim some of those fond memories.
