While this piece was inspired by the same Parkville waterfall that Sanctuary was, for this piece I decided to step away from realism just a bit. I was extremely taken by the gorgeous canopy of leaves that shrouded the water, and so in the artwork I intentionally distorted the proportions, emphasizing the luminous greens.
