A rust-colored footbridge along the Katy Trail forms a triangular frame for the Missouri River and the forested bank on the horizon.

Katy Trail Bridge

The Katy Trail runs alongside the Missouri River for most of its path across the state, and one afternoon my family and I went to walk along a short distance to see what the river was up to. This bridge is actually a footpath bridge, and I was absolutely struck by the way it framed the river.
