A still life oil painting of jewelry draped amongst a blue bottle, two bottles of perfume, and a blue crystal ball. Blue and pearl hues dominate with red and amber contrasts.

In the Stars Tonight

I find still lifes incredibly calming to paint, and I also love the way they can be used to create a 'story' for the viewer. I was able to gather objects from my life to create of the moon, stars, and the night sky...and perhaps, by consulting a crystal ball or some other forecasting method, the viewer might see what they'd like to in this painting.

About This Series

Artwork   Artwork

This series of still lifes gathers objects from my life, often with an emphasis on creating a story. You see much of my jewelry and other items that spark my imagination, such as a blue crystal ball and a glass-encrusted candle holder--items that draw my eye and make me dream about magical things.
